The Altman Building

Overview

The Altman Building is a historic landmark in the heart of Chelsea. Established in 1896 as the Carriage House for the B. Altman Department Store, it is now a private event venue boasting two floors, 17-foot high vaulted brick ceilings, and the original French mahogany and glass doors.

The venue represents opportunity, as one’s imagination leads to unlimited possibilities. The unparalleled flexibility of the open floor plan meets the needs of a wide client base including fashion shows, product and automobile launches, corporate meetings, trade shows, mitzvahs, and weddings.
