Caramoor History And Information
Caramoor is home to metropolitan New York’s largest annual outdoor music festival. There is nothing typical about an event at Caramoor. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Caramoor is a 90-acre historic estate in Katonah, NY with woodland trails, spectacular gardens, and a range of beautiful facilities available to rent for weddings, life events, family celebrations, corporate and education meetings, and retreats, photoshoots, corporate appreciation functions, and other types of events.
Caramoor is the legacy of Walter and Lucie Rosen, who established the estate and built a great house as its centerpiece. Their legendary musical evenings were the seeds of today’s International Music Festival that are held annually on the estate. Located in the greater metropolitan New York area, we are accessible to all area airports, highways, Metronorth, and hotels.

Sunken Garden
Standing: 400 max., Seated: 400 max.
This three-tiered formal garden surrounded by woodlands is our most popular venue for a wedding ceremony.
Tapestry Hedge
Standing: 400 max., Seated: 300 max.
This grassy space is a lovely location for ceremonies and receptions. The romantic, rose-covered gazebo serves as a stunning focal point for visitors on the gently sloped lawn, and guests may relax by the Iris & Peony Garden at the north end of Tapestry Hedge.
Formal Dining Room
Standing: 65 max., Seated: 50 max.
The Formal Dining Room in the interior of the Rosen House is available for intimate wedding celebrations hosting up to 50 guests.
Music Room
Standing: 200 max., Seated: 200 max.
The palatial Music Room, filled with treasures from around the world, is the ideal space for private musical performances, presentations, and dancing.

Spanish Courtyard
Standing: 250 max., Seated: 500 max.
The Formal Dining Room and the Spanish Courtyard in the interior of the Rosen House are occasionally available for intimate wedding celebrations hosting up to 50 guests. The Spanish Courtyard, the interior courtyard of the House, contains gardens and cloisters, as well as niches with intricate painted wall designs. This distinctive space is sometimes described as “Spanish under the influence of the Italian Renaissance” given the architectural styles reminiscent of Fillippo Brunelleschi (1377-1446), the 15th-century Italian architect.

Venetian Theater
Standing: 1000 max., Seated: 1700 max.
The airy and spacious Venetian Theater, surrounded by greenery and gardens, can accommodate seating and dancing for 250 - 800 guests. You can hold your cocktail reception at the Reception Tent and Italian Garden or at the scenic Tapestry Hedge formed by monumental evergreens. Your ceremony can be held in the Venetian Theater or elsewhere on the grounds, depending on the number of guests involved. These locations are available from April to mid-October.

Reception Tent And Italian Pavilion
Standing: 300 max., Seated: 500 max.
The pristine white Reception Tent is designed for seated events up to 250 people for dinner and dancing. The historic Italian Pavilion, adjacent to the Reception Tent, is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is an elegant location for a cocktail reception prior to dinner. The Sunken Garden, a three-tiered formal garden surrounded by woodlands, can be used for your ceremony. These locations are available from April to mid-October.
Diane Moss Education Center
Standing: 80 max., Seated: 80 max.
The Education Center is useful for educational or training seminars, recruiting sessions, board meetings, leadership and other retreats, memorial services, and small informal parties and gatherings.
