Lead time for events varies depending on a variety of considerations including location, venue, size and scope. For nonprofit events, we prefer at least two weeks’ notice, but we are able to accommodate more urgent requests. However, the further out our planning can begin, the more cost effective results we are able to deliver.

Great Performances provides full catering services, including all food, beverage and staffing services. For 501-c3 nonprofits, we are happy to work with donated items including food, wine and alcohol.

Great Performances’ team of chefs, managers, and event planners collaborate to ensure that every Great Performances production comes off with seamless grace, careful execution, and effortless style.

Our proposals will include food, beverage, staffing and equipment rental charges. Equipment rentals include furniture, plates and decorations and are delivered by a third party vendor who we manage on your behalf. Our event team can help guide rental selections to fit your theme and event.

Additionally, we have an in-house design team who can provide custom event design including signage, floral arrangements, tablescapes, custom service equipment and more at an additional fee.

Additionally, RDP, our special events team, can produce live in-person and virtual events. We work with our clients from pre-production through post-production, managing the behind-the-scenes elements including logistics, operations, vendors, facilities and licenses and ensuring an optimal experience for clients and their guests.

Great Performances has worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations including Alzheimer’s Association, City Parks Foundation, Planned Parenthood, Creative Art Works, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Sylvia Center and more.

Great Performances has catered a wide variety of nonprofit events and fundraisers including luncheons, seated dinners, galas, receptions, board retreats, conferences, festivals, virtual events, and gifting by mail.

Great Performances works with all organizations to meet their budget goals and can offer additional considerations for 501 c3 nonprofits.

At Great Performances, we consider our global impact at every stage of the process, from ideating and creating dishes and menus through even services and waste reduction programs.

We believe in full utilization of ingredients, ensuring every part of the plant or animal is used in a delicious dish. At events and our production facilities, we have comprehensive waste/disposable programs that include recycling, composting, material repurposing and surplus food recovery programs directed for immediate use by shelters and places in need.

We believe every guest, regardless of their dietary preferences, should have food choices that are innovative, delicious and exciting. For example, our vegetarian dishes, many of which are also vegan, exclude the most common allergens, making them an excellent option for a wide variety of guests. We also have partners that can help provide specialized meals including halal and kosher meals.
