Restaurant Manager for Dizzy’s with Jazz at Lincoln Center

We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Manager with demonstrated managerial experience. We are looking for someone to join our management team and grow within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all F&B operations for our partnership at Dizzy’s with Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The ideal candidate has the ability to successfully coach, develop and discipline staff to ensure the guest experience meets the hospitality standards of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Employee Management

  • Selection, development and performance management of employees

  • Participate in on-going education for team members, including, daily pre-meal meetings

  • Creating and Managing employee schedule

  • Mediating employee concerns and issues

Operation Management

  • Coordinate and manage the entire operation of the venue during scheduled service, including the flow of service, and implementing creative solutions as needed

  • Resolving guest issues and concerns with a professional demeanor

  • Enforcing service standards as described in the Hospitality/Great Performances Employee Guides

  • Maintain open, professional communication with back of house staff and partner with culinary management on menu items

Venue Promotions

  • Assist Venue Director with promotional activities, and operational changes

  • Accommodating special requests as per Venue Director

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Minimum 1-2 years of hospitality management experience.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

  • Combination of practical experience and education

  • Knowledge of computers to fulfill management functions, including word and excel

  • Knowledge of Department of Health guidelines and standards

  • Employee management

  • Self-disciplined and initiative; leadership ability; pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance;

  • Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and

  • service meets hospitality standards.

  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide

  • range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to common café problems.

  • Must possess excellent communication and written skills

  • Food Handler's Certificate is a plus
