Responsibilities include the sales, coordination, and execution of multiple off-premise catering events. Source and market our well-known brand and catering services to potential client and solicit repeat business. Engage clients from the first contact through to the event's completion and beyond. Keep up with industry trends and cutting edge events and understand how to translate these ideas in to events that exceed our clients' expectations.
Collaborate with internal department heads including culinary, venue managers, design, and marketing. Oversee and collaborate with the Catering Operations Coordinator/Manager in the creation of event proposals, menus, equipment and staffing orders; coordinate site inspections. Provide oversight at events to ensure a successful outcome.
5-10 years' demonstrated success planning and executing events in progressively responsible positions. Must have strong sales track record; the ability to transition over a book of business and contacts is ideal. Excellent communication skills, with the know how to engage clients and network to source new business. Knowledge of style and design principles and their application is desirable.
The successful candidate will have a sophisticated presence, a keen eye for detail. Must be savvy, stylish, passionate, enthusiastic, and a team player. Most importantly we are interested in candidates who understand hospitality and possess the quality or disposition of receiving and treating clients and guests in a warm, friendly, generous way. Bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Hospitality. Prior managerial experience is preferred.
