Event Design Studio Manager
This position reports to the Design Studio Director and is responsible for managing the event design process as it relates to food and hospitality, from concept to execution.
This role assists in translating the aesthetic vision of Great Performances, our partner event designers and clients into outstanding visual presentations.
Specifics responsibilities will include;
Collaborate with the Design Studio Director on developing and executing a design strategy for a diverse set of event design styles
Create mood board, diagrams and style guides for each event design strategy
Source and/or develop new service and presentation elements
Responsible for purchasing and coordinating delivery of specialty event décor items
Create customer menu, signage and other related graphics as needed
Manage discreet project budgets and costs
Attend events as the “onsite stylist” completing set ups of displays, food presentations and graphics
Work collaboratively with sales team, chefs, event staff and vendor partners.
Act as subject matter expert and consultant for clients as needed
Strong communication skills and an ability to translate creative ideas to diverse departments
A multi-disciplinary designer who can see a project from conception to delivery in a wide variety of aesthetic styles
Experience across diverse design functions including, but not limited to, event design, graphic design, styling and merchandising.
Interest in or experience working in hospitality or related industries
Demonstrated, excellent presentation skills, including the ability to create presentations and experience presenting to all levels of an organization
Proven record of managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget
BA or BS in a design related field or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience
Expert in adobe creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
Proficiency in Microsoft products and services
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate at all levels within the organization
Detail oriented, organized and ability to follow through on time and budget
Flexible and adaptable. Able to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
Prior experience in food, or food related, industry desired
