Description

Top with vanilla ice cream for a truly special dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 c milk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1⁄2 c sugar
  • 4 T butter
  • 4 T flour
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1⁄4 c passionfruit pulp

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium saucepan bring the milk, vanilla bean and sugar to a bowl. Remove from heat and set aside. In another saucepan melt the butter. Whisk in four, stirring for about two minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the milk mixture.

Return the pan to heat and return to a boil, continually stirring for about one minute. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Grease souffle ramekins with butter.

Whisk the egg yolks and pulp into the sauce. Next, beat the egg whites with an electric beater unti stiff. Carefully fold the egg whites into the sauce. Pour mixture into the prepared ramekins and bake for 15-20 minutes.
