Description
Be careful with your measurements of this intensely flavored herb, Native to South America. A little goes a long way!
Ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 c water
- 2 c sugar
- 1 1⁄2 c cups chopped lemon verbena
- 2 T lemon juice
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a medium heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir until the sugar dissolves and reduce heat, simmering for five minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate for two hours and then strain. Process in an ice cream machine using the maker's instructions. Transfer to a sealed container and firm in the freezer for at least two hours.
