Description
Homemade ice cream sauces always impress (and taste so much better than their store bought alternatives)!
Ingredients
- 2 c sugar
- 1 c heavy cream
- 1 t fleur de sel
- 2 t lemon juice
- 2 T unsalted butter
- 1 T bourbon
Instructions
Come the sugar and 1/2 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until the mixture is dark brown in color, swirling the pan instead of stirring for about 20 minutes. Reduce heat and very slowly stir in the cream, lemon juice, butter, bourbon and salt. Stir to combine.
Cool completely and store refrigerated for up to 1 week.
