BAMcafe welcomes
James Beard Chef Akira Back

presenting a French-inspired menu to complement BAM’s production of The Fairy Queen in partnership with the French musical ensemble, Les Arts Florissants.
Akira Back is the Executive Chef at Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge at the Bellagio Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. He was awarded the title of "Rising Star" by Restaurant Hospitality and has appeared on the Food Network's Iron Chef America.

BAMcafe is the place to go for dinner and drinks before a performance at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Opening two hours prior to curtain, guests can choose from the Cafe's extensive dinner menu or enjoy a snack and delicious cocktail from the bar menu.
On Friday and Saturday nights, the Cafe houses BAMcafe Live, BAM's free music concert series. Live performances range from rock and jazz to pop and R&B. BAMcafe opens at 8:00 PM serving up bar food to concert-goers.
