Great Performances operates a select group of cafés within cultural institutions and landmark locations. Each café has a signature style, reflecting the host institution and upholding our food mission to serve seasonal and local ingredients. When possible, we love to incorporate produce from our organic farm, Katchkie Farm, into our café dishes. Seasonal Café Festivals: At each of our cafés, we celebrate seasonality by featuring a seasonal ingredient or vegetable every month. Each café chef will create and serve a menu special that highlights the flavors of the ingredient. We encourage guests to explore seasonal produce by offering recipes and tips each month in our cafés and on our blog.
Guest Chef Program: We open the doors at Great Performances to visiting chefs in need of kitchen space, staffing, sourcing and transportation support. We have had the privilege to support chefs from all over world and are proud partners with the James Beard Foundation. James Beard chefs around the country visit the Great Performances kitchen and offer their recipes and specials to feature in our cafés. Guests at our cafés are often treated to special menus by James Beard chefs to provide a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Just Sprouted Line: Just Sprouted is our line of fresh, healthy grab-and-go food items including salads, sandwiches and snacks utilizing seasonal produce from Katchkie Farm and local farm partners. Many of the ingredients used for these products are sourced from local farms within 300 miles of New York City.
