Once again we are delighted to host the 13th Annual Women in Conservation luncheon at The Plaza. To celebrate visionary women whose work has greatly advanced conservation both locally and globally, the National Audubon Society presented the Rachel Carson Award to three honorees in our Grand Ballroom this May. These women included Dominique Browning,Co-Founder and Senior Director of Moms Clean Air Force, Rebecca Moore,Director of Google Earth, Earth Engine and Earth Outreach andDr. Kathryn D. Sullivan, Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administrator. This prestigious Audubon Award recognizes women who have shown extraordinary commitment, energy and passion in working to protect and improve our world.
Every year, guests of this eco-friendly celebration enjoyed a full vegetarian menu designed to specifically lessen their carbon footprint. We are thrilled to have hosted the Audubon’s Women in Conservation luncheon for the 9th time, and congratulate all of their dedicated and inspirational guests.
