by Beth Kaiserman, Content Marketing Coordinator and Antonio Thompson, Beverage Director

Is there a cold drink in your hand right now? If not, try one of these summer drinks to cool you off. These recipes feature seasonal fruits and are ideal for those hot summer days when you need a delicious, refreshing drink. We've included tips for alcohol-free cocktails and alcohol-added mocktails to keep everyone happily hydrated.

Strawberry Swing

5-6 strawberries, hulled

1 1/2oz simple syrup or agave

1/2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice

Basil or mint leaves

2 oz rum or seltzer

1) Remove green tops from berries. Muddle strawberries and mint or basil in a glass.

2) In a shaker with ice, mix rum, lime juice, and simple syrup or agave with muddled berries and herbs. Shake, strain into serving glass over ice.

(Non-alcoholic version: use seltzer instead of rum.)

Blackberry Agua Fresca

1/4 cup blackberries, blended or muddled, plus more for garnish

1 1/2oz agave nectar

1/2oz lemon juice

2oz gin or water

Muddle or blend blackberries. In a shaker with ice, mix gin, lemon juice and agave with berries. Stir, strain into serving glass over ice, and garnish with a few blackberries.

(Non-alcoholic version: use water instead of gin.)

Spring Greens

(Homemade Jalapeno & Basil Limeade)

3-4 jalapenos

1/2oz simple syrup or agave

2oz tequila or water/sparkling water

1/2oz lime juice

Muddle 3-4 jalapenos with basil and simple syrup or agave. Shake with tequila, lime juice and ice and strain into a chilled coup glass or over ice. Garnish with lime.

(Non-alcoholic: use water or sparkling water instead of tequila.)

Watermelon Smash

(Watermelon-Infused Lemonade, Mint Garnish)

1.5oz simple syrup

1/4 cup puréed watermelon

2oz vodka (optional)

Splash seltzer
