Evidence Dance Company kicked off its 25th Anniversary Celebration year at the Grace in Winter Silver Ball with a fabulous dinner at The Plaza Hotel on Monday, February 8, 2010. Jennifer Holiday's stellar performance of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" was as magnificent as her Oscar performance and was filled with so much passion and pathos that it sounded as if she were singing her signature hit from Dreamgirls for the first time.

A tough act to follow, but dinner was incredible. Guests dined on Shrimp and Winter Vegetable Timbale, Barbecued Beef Short Rib with Vanilla Bean Mashed Sweet Potato and Haricot Vert. What better way to please theatre and dance aficionados than with a signature Plaza dessert - Dark Chocolate and Pumpkin Cheese Cake.
The evening hosted distinguished Evidence dance lovers and supporters from across the country including Victoria Rowell, Anika Noni Rose, Judith Jamison, Susan Taylor, Tamara Tunie, Maurice DuBois, b. michael, Reggie Van Lee, Joyce Mullins-Jackson, Deborah Bancroft, Alexis Clark, New York State First Lady Michelle Paterson, Jennifer Holliday, Peven Everett, and Lynn Whitfield.
Culminating the great night was a performance by the company of Brown's famed piece "Grace" accompanied by singer and jazz musician Peven Everett.
