Carly Katz-Hackman’s Sour Cream Banana Bread

2/3     cups  Butter, softened and unsalted

1 1/3  cups Granulated sugar

1 1/2  cups Bananas, mashed (about 2 – 3 medium bananas)

2 3/4  cups Flour, sifted

1        tsp    Baking powder

1        tsp    Baking soda

1/2     tsp    Salt

1/2     cup   Sour cream

1        cup   Milk chocolate chips


Preheat oven to 350° F degrees.

Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy Add eggs and mashed bananas.

In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients.Add half of the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix.  Add half the sour cream and mix.  Add remaining dry ingredients and mix.Add the remaining sour cream and mix.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Pour into two greased 9”x5”x 3” loaf pans (make sure to grease both pans thoroughly!).  Bake 45 – 50 minutes.  Let cool completely before you remove from pans.
