Brooklyn Museum

What cultural institution, established in 1823, is housed in a 560,000-square-foot Beaux-Arts building designed by the renowned McKim, Mead & White – and presents 12 Rodin bronzes as well as masterpieces by Monet, Degas, Bierstadt, Homer, O’Keeffe and Tiffany, along with stunning and unique works from ancient Egypt, the Americas, Asia, Africa, and the Islamic world?

This magnificent edifice dominates Eastern Parkway in the world-famous borough of Brooklyn – and it is the Brooklyn Museum.  Beginning in October, Great Performances will be the exclusive caterer for special events at the Museum.  We are very excited to be working in these expansive and stunning spaces.

Another exciting revelation is that the Museum offers a myriad of unique spaces that can be rented to host special events, both corporate and social, as well as not-for-profit galas, film and movie shoots, and all-day meetings.

The Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion and Lobby is made of sheer glass, creating a contemporary open space overlooking the plaza.  This grand lobby is ideal for a wedding ceremony for up to 300, a reception for 500, or a dinner for up to 250.

The Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium seats up to 417 and offers newly installed ETC Unison Dimming Racks, upgraded surround sound with capacity for recording and playback, wireless and intercom systems, assistive listening, and a complete control system that allows for simple operation of all new technologies.

Perhaps the most impressive space of all is found on the third floor, the sunken two-story Beaux-Arts Court, accommodating up to 660 for a seated affair.  This grand space features original archways and glass tile floor.  Dine underneath the skylight, which is 60 feet up, and from which hangs the original brass chandelier.

Gallery tours can also be provided during a private event, offering your guests exclusive access to remarkable collections and special exhibitions.

We welcome your inquiries – and the Museum’s in-house team is dedicated to working together with us in crafting an artfully delicious experience.
