Behind The Bar: Drinking Locally
CPS Events at The Plaza
by Sasha Lal

There has been an explosion of local drinking! What does that mean? First, social media has opened the doors for everyone to see where their alcohol is made and the ingredients that make their drinks mouthwatering. Think egg whites, elixirs, and unidentifiable garnishes, the possibilities are truly endless! The best part about these locally produced alcohols is that you are able to go and tour where they are made. Hello summer fun! Now instead of hitting the liquor store, you can stop by these distilleries and learn all about where the product comes from, how it’s made and even taste them in various forms. It used to be that visiting vineyards and wineries was the fun weekend thing to do, but these distilleries have become the replacement.

The Plaza has sourced out three places of interest within a hundred miles of the front steps of our hotel. See below for some awesome recipes! Whether you’re enjoying these cocktails at a Summer wedding at The Plaza or in the distillery itself, cheers and drink responsibly!
