Mingle in the Morning at 620 Loft & Garden

When trying to plan a perfect Friday Morning, what do you wish for? For me, a sunny morning, the quiet of 620 Loft & Garden along with some wonderful friends and of course delicious food. I would like to think we got what we wished for this morning.

We wanted to showcase some local, eco-friendly event ideas and the best way to do that is in the garden. You were greeted with a choice of Cucumber or Raspberry Water topped off with some Brooklyn Seltzer. Name Tags that were printed on seeds, a table laden with sunflowers and a beautiful green landscape.

So how do you enjoy breakfast without coffee? We decided that you really cannot so we decided that selecting a Locally Roasted Organic Bean was acceptable. I had a blast selecting coffee beans that were roasted the day prior and then ground myself. The smells were amazing and when brewed the taste was definitely phenomenal

For the menu, here are some of the crowd favorites:
Brioche French Toast with Apple Butter
Maple Sugar Cured Bacon served in an adorable bamboo cone (outrageous)
Crepe Purse of Caviar & Crème Fraiche
Trio of Deviled Eggs
Miniature Yogurt Parfait
Edenbrook Trout on a Savory Cheesecake

And beautiful sounds from “Bon Musique” and Cody

After all this fun, a visit to the Rockefeller Center Greenmarket for an amazing bag of treats – fresh salad, breakfast radishes, kale, ketchup, jam and honey from our farm friends.

We composted today and tried to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. That is really a challenge in todays’ business but it was a lot of fun planning it and figuring out how to make it look amazing. SO what else can we do…select menus & ingredients that are seasonal – they taste better and are probably available locally. Use Post Consumer Waste papers for your menus and other printing needs. Don’t forget, Gifts, Flowers and Goodies can also be handled this way.

Thanks again to the team for a great start to the weekend.
